Menu Planning

“My menu plans aren’t always creative and the food sometimes isn’t edible, but I enjoy menu planning and that’s all that matters.”

How Do I Menu Plan?

I let everyone have a say in our meal plan. Early in the week I ask for supper suggestions. I try to let everyone pick at least one meal a week, but if you don’t have any ideas, then you’re stuck eating what everyone else wants.

When the weekly grocery ads come out on Wednesdays, I go through the ads and compare the sales to any requested recipes. I usually won’t cook a meal if I have to pay full price for it.

I try to incorporate new recipes weekly. I frequent allrecipes.com, recipezaar.com and my favorite foodie bloggers at Orgjunkie.com for new recipes.
